Vicky

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Vicky Tse has performed widely in Germany, Belgium, Italy, Norway, Russia, Hong Kong and the Netherlands as a recorder player. She is actively collaborating with chamber ensembles, choirs and Renaissance dance groups and Baroque opera groups.  Tse obtained her Master from the early music department of the Utrecht Conservatory, studied recorder under Saskia Coolen and Heiko ter Schegget, harpsichord under Mary Sayre and viola da gamba under Joshua Cheatham.

Tse's interests can be traced back to the recorder orchestra in her secondary school. Her study in early music scholarship and performance under tremendous guidance and support from Prof. Greta Jean Olson at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Music, has allowed her to turn her interests into a profession.  In 2013, alumni of CUHK and Tse founded an early music ensemble, the Celeste Capriccio Consort, to acknowledge Prof. Olson continuously influences and supports us throughout early music study.

Tse also attended various festivals and masterclasses with Andrew Lawrence-King, Kees Boeke, Walter van Hauwe, Wilbert Hazelzet, Barthold Kuijken, Sebastien Marq, Conrad Steinmann, Han Tol and amongst others.
